Tender summary

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) intends to award a non-competitive indefinite quantity contract to YSI Inc (YSI), Yellow Springs, Ohio, for hydrological instruments, equipment, and repairs, maintenance, and servicing in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The equipment and repairs will be delivered to the USGS Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility (HIF), Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for five years from the date of award.<br/><br/>This hydrological equipment is an essential component of the USGS national stream gaging network, through which the USGS HIF supports numerous bureaus, federal agencies, tribal nations, state, and local agencies. This network and the data it produces is a major element of the overall mission of the USGS and represents investments of tens of millions of dollars over many years. YSI is the only company that manufactures and performance repairs and maintenance on its equipment and parts and therefore the only source that will meet the agency requirement.<br/><br/>The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. All responsible sources may submit a response to this notice by no later than the response date of this announcement which shall be considered by the agency. However, this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date for this contract is on or about May 7, 2026.<br/><br/>The NAICS code is 334513.
