<p>The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Schuylkill located in Minersville, Pennsylvania intends to make a single award to a responsible entity to provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals to correct the below referenced work on a 500,000 gallon above ground water tank:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Perform a dry interior cleanout to remove sediment.</li> <li>Install an anti-vortex plate on the suction line.</li> <li>Install a cable-type safety climb device on the shell ladder.</li> <li>Post a confined space entry sign at the primary roof hatch.</li> <li>Adjust, calibrate, and lubricate the existing liquid level gauge.</li> <li>Install a thermomete on the tank.</li> <li>Replace the PVC overflow pipe with a steel overflow system, complete with standoffs, flapper valve, and screen.</li> <li>Install two (2) open coil element (OCE) heaters.</li> <li>Install sacrificial anodes on the interior shell.</li> <li>Install a lock on the primary roof hatch. (Owner provided lock)</li> <li>Repair cracks and spalling with a commercial non-shrinking grout.</li> <li>Pressure wash the tank exterior with an antifungal solution.</li> <li>Install a fall protection required sign near the base of the shell ladder.</li> <li>Install a frost-proof drain valve complete with a locking device. (Owner provided lock)</li> <li>Replace the bolts on the primary shell manway with maintenance-free galvanized steel bolts.</li> <li>Clean the area around the anchor bolts, tighten the anchor nuts, and tack weld the nuts to the bolts, repaint.</li> <li>Clean the exposed foundation and seal or paint to protect the concrete.</li> </ul>
