Tender summary
Background Harstad Port shall enter into a new contract for the collection and treatment of ship waste/sanitation at the municipality ́s quays, as the existing agreement expires. The procurement is being carried out to ensure robust, efficient and environmentally responsible handling of waste from ships, in accordance with the current rules and Harstad port ́s operational needs. The delivery must function in connection with varying quay design and operational conditions, and it also includes activity in areas with special safety requirements (ISPS). Description of the assignment The procurement includes the receipt, collection, transport and treatment of ship waste from various municipal quays in Harstad. The assignment shall cover both scheduled, planned collections and needs based orders/stand-by orders in order to handle variations in calls and waste. The delivery shall include relevant waste fractions from ships, including mixed waste, residue waste and source sorted fractions, food waste, oily waste and waste oil from engine rooms, as well as septic/black water and grey water. The assignment includes accompanying documentation and reports related to reception and treatment, with traceability per fraction and the basis for the municipality ́s environmental reporting.
