Summary
RFx ID: 33814915 Organisation: Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) Open date: Thursday, 2 April 2026 9:00 AM +13:00 Close date: Thursday, 30 April 2026 4:00 PM +12:00 Categories: 22000000 - Building and Construction Machinery and Accessories Region: New Zealand Overview: The Health New Zealand (Waitaha Canterbury) Passive Fire Programme provides passive fire protection advice and support to our infrastructure and development teams. Over the last 7 years we have worked with a number of installers who have progressed through our accreditation process across all development projects. Our intention is to establish a Te Waipounamu - South Island wide Programme by establishing a regional panel of installers of passive fire product provided by Health New Zealand. This ROI relates only to the installation of products and not to the supply of products. The intended approach is to provide consistency, compliance and quality passive fire products and installation that reduce inadequacies, cross materials mixing and non-compliant installations. Successful installers who become members of the Health New Zealand (Te Waipounamu) Passive Fire Products Installer Panel will work closely with our design teams, consultants and product suppliers to provide the best fit for purpose solution that aids with future proofing in our ever-changing environment across Te Waipounamu. The installers (once appointed under this panel), will be approved contractors authorised to complete regionally delivered passive fire installation work on Health New Zealand properties within the Te Waipounamu region for the duration of the panel. By way of example, this may range from a single cable or pipe penetration up to being asked to price installation work on major projects. For clarity, nationally led Health New Zealand projects (for example, the New Dunedin Hospital) can appoint installers outside of the panel and award passive fire installation work thorough separate procurement processes as Health New Zealand sees fit. Installers must be experienced in passive fire installation with high quality QA systems in place. Any existing installers may re-apply however they will not be required to re-accredit currently accredited staff as part of the RFx process.
