Tender summary
RFx ID: 33809428 Organisation: Queenstown-Lakes District Council Open date: Monday, 30 March 2026 5:00 PM +13:00 Close date: Tuesday, 28 April 2026 1:00 PM +12:00 Categories: 72000000 - Building and Facility Construction and Maintenance Services Region: Otago Overview: QLDC is seeking quotations for the Lower Shotover Cemetery Drainage project. Following ongoing drainage issues at the Lower Shotover Cemetery and significant flooding through the area, it has been determined that drainage upgrades are required. Testing has confirmed that much of the drainage currently on site is inadequate, compromised by roots, or undersized. We wish to engage a suitably qualified Civil Works contractor to undertake drainage works on site to the specifications outlined in the Detailed Design. Detailed Design Drawings have been prepared for construction, and drainage modifications follow the Council's engineering codes of practice. Works will include the installation of new and much larger soakage pits, the installation of silt traps, the clearing existing soak holes, and the installation of root barriers to protect the new drainage systems. The proposed solution will be suitable in preventing ongoing flooding issues in the area, and the site will be remediated following works. A site visit will not be included as part of this RFQ; however, the site is open to the public and suppliers may undertake their own site visit as they wish.
