Position Title Social Safeguard Specialist Official Notice: Procurement Specialist Position Title Procurement Specialist Purpose of the Notice This notice is issued to formally announce the recruitment and appointment of a Procurement Specialist. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and manage procurement activities in accordance with organizational policies and World Bank procurement requirements. Prepare and review procurement documents including requests for proposals, invitations to bid, and contracts. Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to ensure competitive and cost-effective procurement. Ensure compliance with procurement guidelines, ethical standards, and legal requirements. Manage vendor relationships and resolve procurement-related issues. Support contract management, including monitoring deliverables and timelines. Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare reports for audits and donor reviews. Provide capacity building and technical support to project teams on procurement matters. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related fields. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement within development projects or similar sectors. Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, donor policies, and best practices. Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and maintain high ethical standards. Reporting and Accountability The Procurement Specialist will report directly to the Project Manager and collaborate closely with the Finance and Monitoring & Evaluation teams to ensure procurement activities align with project goals and compliance requirements. Effective Date This notice takes effect immediately upon issuance and remains valid until further communication.
