Das Bildungszentrum Salem wird als Gemeinschaftsschule geführt. Das Gebäude wurde ursprünglich in den 1970er Jahre erstellt und in den folgenden Jahren in Teilen umgebaut und erweitert. Die Bestandsdächer wurden als sog. rollgeschweiste Edelstahldächer ausgeführt und sind seit Jahren nicht dicht. Die Ursache für die Undichtigkeiten konnte nicht festgestellt werden. Die Dachabdichtung, incl. Begrünung und PV- Anlage, werden neu hergestellt.
