NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT (NPP) REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) #: 1000269796 This request for proposals addresses the Requirement of the Department of Indigenous Services Canada (ISC). DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT. Title: Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Biomedical Waste from First Nations Communities in Atlantic Canada. The Service Provider shall provide collection, removal, transportation and proper disposal of biomedical waste from specified sites in First Nations communities within Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. The Service Provider shall also provide appropriate containers (boxes and liners) to specified sites that meet Transportation of Dangerous Goods legislative requirements. The Service Provider shall provide the collection / removal, transportation and disposal services of biomedical waste consistent with any federal and/or provincial Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act / Regulations, guidelines, protocols and practices on an “as and when” requested basis for First Nation communities or based the on pick up schedule as identified in Appendix A. QUALIFICATION A bidder, including related entities, may submit a proposal in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP). SECURITY REQUIREMENTS There are no security requirements associated with this solicitation of offers. LOCATION OF WORK Duties to be performed in various First Nation locations throughout the Atlantic Provinces as identified in Appendix A. DURATION OF CONTRACT It is intended to result in the award of one (1) contract. The Contract period begins on the date of contract award until March 31, 2027. EVALUATION PROCESS AND SELECTION METHODOLOGY Only bids that meet the mandatory requirements will be considered for supplier selection.
