Introduction RFP: Coastal Engineering Design & Construction Advisory – Tonga UNDP is seeking experienced Engineering Design Companies to provide Detailed Design and Construction Implementation Advisory Services for the Tonga Coastal Resilience Project (TCRP). The assignment addresses urgent coastal inundation risks in critical areas of northeastern Hahake, Tongatapu, through the design and implementation of immediate coastal protection measures. The scope combines detailed engineering design with practical construction-phase advisory support, offering consultants the opportunity to contribute directly to a high‑impact climate resilience project, apply engineering judgement during implementation, and expand the valuable Pacific Island project experience design work. The opportunity is open to firms with demonstrated experience in coastal resilience and coastal protection infrastructure design, as well as construction implementation advisory services.
