Introduction Post Title: Data and Georeferencing (GIS) International Consultant – Care Systems and Climate Resilience Agency: United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Bangkok Regional Hub Country of Assignment: Home based with travel to pilot countries - Bhutan and Malaysia Duration of Assignment: 90 days (March - December 2026) UNDP is the UN’s lead organization on sustainable development, operating in 166 countries to support achievement of the SDGs through policy expertise, knowledge networks and capacity building. Its new Strategic Plan (2026–2029) focuses on prosperity, effective governance, crisis resilience and a healthy planet, driven by digital transformation, sustainable finance and gender equality as key accelerators. Gender equality is treated both as a goal and a catalyst for broader progress across economic, environmental and governance outcomes The UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub advances this agenda by integrating gender equality into regional and country-level strategies. As part of this effort, the Hub is adapting UNDP’s Care Georeferencing Tool (CGT) to address care, climate and gender data gaps in Asia-Pacific. UNDP is looking for the qualified consultant to support diagnostics, provide training, develop geospatial dashboards, process care-related datasets, integrate climate and socio-economic indicators, and assist Bhutan and Malaysia in piloting the CGT, including capacity building and technical documentation.
