Summary
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) requires specialized research and development services to advance the Martian Atmospheric Gas Evolution Experiment – Inter-Cavity Optical Spectroscopy (MAGE-ICOS). The work will focus on maturing ICOS technology for in-situ detection of methane on Mars, including: • development and optimization of low-pressure ICOS instrumentation; • miniaturization of instrument mass and volume relative to commercial ICOS systems; • environmental testing under simulated Martian atmospheric conditions (100–130 Torr); • performance characterization at trace methane detection thresholds; • delivery of engineering reports, design updates, and prototype hardware as detailed in Annex A.
