Introduction Country: Home Based, with mission travel as needed. Travel locations-Beijing and project sites in China Description of the Assignment: The International Project Development Specialist will be the GEF PPG Team Leader and will be responsible for quality assurance and timely preparation of all reports and documentation, including the finalized UNDP Project Document (ProDoc) and CEO Endorsement Request, with all mandatory and project-specific Annexes and supporting documentation for the project “Integrated Management of Permafrost Peatland in Northern China for Biodiversity Conservation and Climate Actions”. S/he will be responsible for managing all consultants on the GEF PPG Team and coordinating the Team’s work. In addition, PPG team lead will also coordinate with the UNDP Country Office to ensure optimal coordination and communication with the project's baseline initiatives in order to optimize intervention coherence. Period of assignment/services: 65 working days, expected from March 10, 2026 to June 30, 2027 Please be noted we are hiring an International expert, only applicants who are not of Chinese nationality will be accepted.
