Summary
Request for Participation: Fingrid Oyj is initiating a type approval process to select suppliers for substation control and protection systems. The scope of this procurement includes the following: Mandatory products: • RTU • HMI • Bay control unit • Distance protection • Line differential protection • Multipurpose protection IED • 400 kV voltage and restoration functions • 400 kV automatic re-closing • Transformer differential protection • 400 kV busbar protection • Switches Optional products: • 110 kV distributed busbar protection • Voltage regulator • IED for measuring sub and inter-harmonic frequencies The objective of this process is to establish contracts with a maximum of three suppliers capable of providing a complete, type-approved solution for upcoming substation projects. Selected suppliers will ensure system reliability and compliance with Fingrid’s standards starting in 2028. The contract period is seven years.
