In diesem Zusammenhang werden im Stadtgebiet Nürnberg die alten 110 kV Kabel durch neue, leistungsfähigere Kabel ausgetauscht und ersetzt. Die für die Umsetzung erforderliche Unterquerung des Plärrers mit den vorhandenen U-Bahn-Bauwerken erfolgt in einem Spezial-Tiefbauverfahren in geschlossener Bauweise.
