Tender summary

NMAT2526/03 This Approach to Market (ATM) is for the provision of a Content Management System (CMS).  The National Museum of Australia (Museum) is seeking a CMS provided as software as a service (Saas). The Museum is seeking submissions for the provision of the goods and services (the Requirement) as described in this Commonwealth Approach to Market. In submitting a response, Potential Suppliers are required to comply with all requirements set out in the Commonwealth Approach to Market Terms (a copy of which is included in this document). The SaaS based CMS is a platform that the Museum will use to enhance audience engagement and expand online reach to foster deep connections with diverse audiences. The CMS will activate three key areas of activity:  Simplify and modernise - The Museum’s current digital presence is fragmented across multiple siloed platforms. This separation results in significant duplication and inefficiencies, a disconnected and disjointed user experience, and an inability to meet the expectations of our staff and audiences.   Drive integration – The new platform will replace our existing systems, serving as a single source of truth for all digital content available to the visitor. It will power a cohesive digital ecosystem, seamlessly connecting the main website, digital classroom, collection search, museum shop, and in-gallery experiences.   Optimise performance - The CMS is a foundational investment in the Museum's future. By creating a deeply integrated and personalised digital journey, we will not only solve long-standing problems but also unlock new opportunities for engagement, storytelling, and revenue generation, ensuring the Museum remains a world-class cultural institution.  As a component of this procurement, the Museum will also consider proposals that include the option of additional professional/support services to help with the delivery of new, or maintenance of existing online experiences.
