Die Hanse- und Universitätsstadt Rostock beabsichtigt den Ersatzneubau des Bw 131, Brücke Schmarler Damm über die DB Strecke 6325 km 119.2+60 aufgrund von Defiziten im Bereich der Tragfähigkeit und der Dauerhaftigkeit der Brücke. Die erforderlichen Planungsleistungen wurden im Jahre 2021 vergeben. Die Bauausführung ist für den Zeitraum von Ende 2027 bis Mitte 2029 geplant.
