Tender summary

This requirement is for Transport Canada. Description of the Requirement: Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Fixed-Wing (FW) Engineering Test Pilots (ETPs) need regular access to a multi-engine, turbine aircraft to maintain sufficient flying skills to safely perform test flight duties associated with oversight of the aircraft certification industry. The objective of the FW Multi-Engine Currency and Proficiency Program (FWMECPP) is to provide TCCA FW ETPs with regular access to a multi-engine, turbine aircraft to support flying currency and proficiency. Under the FWMECPP, the Contractor is responsible for delivering Type Rating training and the required operator training leading to Pilot-in-Command (PIC) sign-off. Following completion of this training, the Contractor will also support ongoing proficiency flying on an ad hoc basis. These post-training proficiency flights require prior approval and are subject to the availability of funding. Special comments: a. The requirement is intended to result in the award of one (1) contract b. The initial proposed period of contract shall be from Contract award to one (1) year plus one (1) option for one (1) year. c. There is no Incumbent presently. d. There is no security requirements associated with this solicitation of offers
