We would prefer a provider who can supply more than one product, but we will consider suppliers of individual products. We are looking for a provider that can supply good quality products that are both fit for purpose and affordable. We need all equipment to comply with the relevant section of New Zealand standard BS7971 for Protective clothing and equipment for use in violent situations and in training, as follows: • BS 7971-1:2002 General requirements • BS 7971-3:2002 Personal defence shields – Requirements and test methods • BS 7971-5:2016 Footwear - Requirements and test methods • BS 7971-7:2003 Slash-resistant gloves - Requirements and test methods • BS 7971-8:2003, Blunt trauma body, shoulder, abdomen, and genital protectors - Requirements and test methods • BS 7971-10:2014, Coveralls – Requirements and test methods • BS 7971-11:2006 Foot and ankle protectors and foot protectors. Requirements and test methods We need providers to attest, for each model being supplied, that the model has met all requirements of the relevant standard and to provide a supplier’s declaration of conformity (SDOC) that meets the minimum requirements of BS7971.
