Purpose of this ACAN: Public Services and Procurement Canada proposes to negotiate a contract with Emergent Biodefense Operations Lansing LLC. on behalf of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) for the purchase of Tembexa® (brincidofovir) which is an antiviral used to treat smallpox. Limited Tendering Reason: In accordance with Government Contract Regulations (GCRs Part 1 - Conditions of Contract Entry - Bids - 6.(d)) Emergent Biodefense Operations Lansing LLC., is the only known supplier capable of providing an antiviral that is a nucleotide analog DNA polymerase inhibitor and also for treatment of smallpox in pediatric patients.
