It intends to use part of the funds to execute the Coastal Adaptation and Resilience (CARes) Project, for which the World Bank is the Partner Entity. Under this funding, payments for the procurement (supply and delivery) of material for categories 2 and 3 works will be made. The Ministry of Agriculture, Agriculture Sector Development Unit (ASDU) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the procurement (supply and delivery) of materials for categories 2 and 3 works as described above. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Seventh Edition, September 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. Bids will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation process set out in the bidding documents. The following weightings shall apply for Rated Criteria: Technical and non-price factors: 40%; and for Bid cost: 60%. A complete set of bidding documents on a flash Drive (in PDF) in English may be obtained at a non-refundable cost of G$5,000 (cash payment) by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given below. The Commencement date for the inspection/acquisition of bidding documents is 9 March,2026. Upon request, local and international prospective bidders will be sent a copy of the bidding documents free of cost via email. Bids must be valid for 180 days of the date of bid opening. All bidders must place their bids together with the bid securities before 9:00 hours on Thursday, April 9th, 2026, in the tender box of the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board and addressed to the Chairman, NPTAB, Ministry of Finance, Main and Urquhart Streets, Georgetown. The outer Bid envelopes marked “ORIGINAL BID”, and the inner envelopes marked “TECHNICAL PART” will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address above. All envelopes marked “SECOND ENVELOPE: FINANCIAL PART” shall remain unopened and will be held in safe custody of the Purchaser until the second public opening. The submission of all bids must be in accordance with the instructions given in the Instructions to Bidders (ITB) of the Bidding Documents. Bids shall clearly have marked “ PROCUREMENT (SUPPLY AND DELIVERY) OF MATERIAL FOR CATEGORIES 2 AND 3 WORKS” on the inner and outer envelopes. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
