Summary
To be considered as a supplier for the Australian School Based Apprenticeship (ASBA) program focusing on the Information Technology (IT) field, suppliers must meet the following requirements:To provide the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations with year 11 and 12 Australian School Based Apprentices within the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), with an emphasis on identifying young women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, who have an interest in the Information Technology (IT) field.Have established relationships with both the ACT Government and private schools to facilitate the ASBA programs effectively.Be a recognised and accredited Group Training Organisation (GTO) within the ACT.Ensure all certification learning outcomes for the students are facilitated.The proven ability to provide and facilitate the training required for the Australian School Based Apprentice (ASBA) and in person coaching Liaise with both public and private ACT schools to compile shortlists of potential candidates, and work with the department to find suitable placements for both the ASBA participants and the department.Consider students as labour hire under the employment of the supplier. Students are expected to work between 7.5 to 15 hours per week within the department during school terms with consideration of additional hours during school holidays.
