PSC002436: Replacement of the Cooling Towers

Summary

Included in the scope are: detailed design, manufacture, installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation.Mechanical services to be delivered:a) Condenser water distributionb) Demolish pre-cooling heat exchanger, PHE-07. Increase the secondary chilled water flow rateto PHE-02 and add additional plates (capacity) to PHE-02 to cater for full capacity without precoolingPHE-07.c) Replacing the existing precooling Heat Exchanger (PHE-07) serving the LCWd) Upgrades to the existing condenser water loop pipinge) Replace existing Cooling Towers 01 – 06f) Side filtration at each cooling towerg) Individual towns water connection to each towerElectrical services to be delivered:a) All connections from mechanical switch board to towers and associated equipment.b) New Cooling tower VSD’s.c) All modification to the main switchboard shall be carried out by ANSTO as per the tenderer’s specifications.Inclusions:a) Site measurement and material take-off of the mechanical piped services distribution.b) Concept and final detailed construction drawings.c) Supply of components and materials excluding those which are free-issued by the Purchaser.For clarity, this includes all piping fittings (elbows, tees, unions etc), lengths of pipe/tube and all valves and other fittings specified in the Equipment List as being supplied by the mechanical contractor.d) Clean assembly of all systems.e) Inspection and acceptance testing as detailed in the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).f) Packing and shipment of materials, components and installation equipment to the Purchaser’s site.g) Provision of safety documentation, compliance certificates, test reports etc.h) Copies of welding qualifications / registrations for the type of work undertaken.i) Precise works coordination through the Purchaser.j) Commissioning, testing and certification at the Purchaser’s site.k) Disposal of all packing materials, not using ANSTO bins.
