The works involve reinstating flood protection along Quay Street to No.12 The Strand, including: Site clearance and removal of existing structures Pavement works, including excavation and reinstatement Pipe works, including extension of existing concrete pipes and new cesspits Construction of a new floodwall with sheet piles, foundations, and cast in-situ panels Relocation and reinstatement of streetlight poles Topsoiling and reinstatement of disturbed areas The contractor will manage traffic and pedestrian access to minimise disruption, implement environmental and erosion controls, and maintain public safety throughout. Responsibilities include full project management, site supervision, preparation of as-built documentation, and compliance with all health, safety, and consent requirements. The scope also covers temporary access arrangements, sediment control and dewatering, survey set-out, and coordination with utility providers to protect existing services.
