Traditionally, we have sourced rifles and components from multiple suppliers, and we managed assembly, maintenance, and distribution through our armoury. This juncture presents an opportunity to assess the benefits of continuing the current product and supply arrangements for these rifles and associated accessories or whether alternate options provide a better solution and value for NZ Police and how we might plan any transition to a new arrangement. Additionally, an opportunity also exists for us to acquire an Asset Management capability using third-party solution and services to manage our rifles. We have an interest to explore the market for the viability to supply rifles, firearm configuration as well as Asset Management Services to manage our rifles. This is a three-part RFI consisting of: A. Rifles with accessories to replace existing Police fleet; B. Configuration services to assemble and perform operational readiness checks; C. Asset Management Services which provide digital capability and support for managing our firearms and accessories.
