We also need some bridge approaches upgraded with retaining and concrete solutions. There are a number of sites requiring upgrades of surface. Work extends from: Paeroa to Hikutaia, Karangahake and Tirohia. There is approximately 2.2km of chipseal and 20km of resurfacing. We need all surfaces to comply with the New Zealand Cycle Trail Design Guide (mbie.govt.nz) for a grade 1 track. The contract works include but are not limited to: • Concrete surface 2.5m width. • Chipseal • Temporary Traffic Management • Aggregate resurfacing. • Retaining structures The form of contract to be used is NZS3910:2023 with amendments.
