The Product of Service Code for this requirement is J020. This will not be a small business under the Small Business Administration {SBA} size standard for this sector. \n\n This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available, and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Background, Problem Statement: \nDuring CGC KUKUI’s Main Reduction Gear (MRG) inspection; PTO to low-speed gear, excessive bearing wear was found on high-speed gear bearings. \n1.1 Main Reduction Gear (MRG) Info: \nMFR ID 96-DHCMGH-CP \nB Class Model Gear Unit Reduction: NSN 3020-XF-C11-6019 \nInput RPM 900 Output RPM 254 \nGear ration 3.541:1 \n1.2 Background: \nUSCG observed questionable flow from LO spray nozzles in the Generator Pinion Housing. A PG Service Rep visited the Cutter to address the spray nozzle issue. In the course of that work, damage additional damage internally was observed and documented in Condition Found Report (CFR) PG Order# 45880 dated 28Oct2025, \n1.3 Work Requirement Statement: \n1. In response to CFR45880 USCG has determined/concurred that Kukui does required the recommend repair actions of that report. \n2. In response to report USCG concurs to the following repair actions to be performed by PG: \nA. Remove turning gear assembly. \nB. Uncoupled PTO shaft and support. \nC. Bearing renewal and axial clearance check. \nD. To correct the out of spec bearing clearance It is preferred that the turning gear adapter spigot PG p/g 50005-0202 be machined to set the axial clearance to spec using shim material. \n3.
