As such, this procurement will ascertain the suitability of potential Suppliers who will deliver: 1. Workshops for the Talanoa Ako Parent Programme and 2. Workshops for the Talanoa Ako Learner Support Programme. Talanoa Ako is a Samoan term that translates to "talking about education/learning." The purpose of the talanoa is to take stock of Pacific ākonga progress towards their long-term goals, as well as aiming to equip and empower parents, families, and communities with skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to champion their children’s education. Talanoa Ako (parent-focused workshops) The objective of the Talanoa Ako (TA) programme is to build the capability, knowledge and voice of Pacific parents, families, and communities to drive and accelerate Pacific educational success. TA aims to empower and support Pacific community organisations, churches, school-led communities, to deliver education programmes that are co-designed for and by Pacific for Pacific. Talanoa Ako Learners Support Programme The objective of the Talanoa Ako Learners Support Programme (TA LSP) is to support Pacific NCEA learners to achieve success by providing intensive, targeted academic support. This programme aims to support Pacific learners in preparation for internal and external assessments and resits, using schools and community partners who have existing strong relationships with their communities and can provide face-to-face academic tutoring, particularly in core subjects and utilising a structured literacy approach (SLA), to support Pacific NCEA learners to achieve success by providing individualised academic support from Year 11 to Year 13 and support learners obtain their Levels 1-3 of NCEA and University Entrance.
