The objective of this procurement is to purchase a commercial off-the-shelf SCADA system/s configured to meet KiwiRail’s immediate and future needs that is scalable and operates in a virtualised computing environment to take advantage of new technology and opportunities as they become available. The supply and implementation phase are expected to take approximately two-three years followed by a suitable long-term operations and maintenance support agreement. This RFP is issued by KiwiRail, through its Future Rail Systems Programme, and will be published on the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS). The purpose of the RFP is to procure the delivery and integration of a new Traction SCADA system within New Zealand’s rail transportation network.
