Dans le cadre du programme AXE STRATEGIQUE RESEAU et à la suite de l'enfouissement (5km) de la ligne le long de l'autoroute N01 et de l'aéroport de Genève, Swissgrid s’est engagé à démonter la ligne en double terne entre les pylônes conservés n°1600x169 (Foretaille) et n°1603x001 (ex.187) du canton de Genève.
