THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA MINISTRY OF WORKS TANZANIA NATIONAL ROADS AGENCY ROADS TO INCLUSION AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES PROJECT (RISE) CREDIT NO.: 7716-TZ REQUEST FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF KALUTU 2 BRIDGE (120M) AND KALUTU 3 BRIDGE (120M) AND THEIR 3KM APPROACH ROADS IN TABORA REGION. RFB No: AE/001/2025-2026/HQ/W/28 (TZ-TANROADS-497870-CW-RFB) The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Roads to Inclusion and Socio-Economic Opportunities Project (RISE) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of Kalutu 2 Bridge (120m) and Kalutu 3 Bridge (120m) and Their 3km Approach Roads in Tabora Region. The Tanzania National Roads Agency the Implementing Agency now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction of two bridges: Kalutu 2 Bridge (120m) and Kalutu 3 Bridge (120m) and 3km Approach Roads along Shelui - Nzega Paved Trunk Road Between Chainage 16+100 - 19+250. Margin of preference is not applicable. Bidders should note that to qualify for award of the contract they are required to meet certain minimum qualifying criteria as provided in Section III: Evaluation and Qualification Criteria (without Prequalification Criteria) of the Bidding Document which includes; Experience as prime contractor they should have successfully completed at least two (2) contracts of similar nature and complexity within the last ten (10) years, each of minimum value of TZS 24 billion or one contract with minimum value of TZS 48 billion; Average Annual Turnover of TZS 30 billion calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last five (5) years, divided by 5 years; Minimum amount of liquid assets and/or credit facilities net of other contractual commitments of TZS 10 billion; and further details and complete qualification requirements are provided in the Bidding Documents. Bidders should also note that the works must be completed within 15 months inclusive of 3 months mobilization period.
