KiwiRail's purpose is “Stronger Connections, Better New Zealand”. Its vision is “To be our customers’ first choice as a trusted and sustainable partner to move freight and people” KiwiRail, in partnership with the New Zealand Government, is exploring the development of the Marsden Point Rail Link (“MPRL”) Programme. A Reference Design within the designated area has been developed and KiwiRail and the Government wants to release this to the private sector aiming through this Request for Information ("RFI”) to assess if there is any interest in commercial, technical, and/or financial options, either individually or in collaboration with others. Therefore, we request that interested parties identify in their Response what element of the MPRL Programme they are interested in being involved in (e.g. design, construction, operation, funding, and/or ownership) or combinations thereof. KiwiRail will provide access to RFI documentation via a restricted SharePoint site. The documentation available in the data room is detailed in Section 4 –Data Room: Technical Documentation of the RFI document. Access will be granted to Respondents who have submitted the signed NDA as outlined in clause 2.3 of the RFI document.
