One such service is Lawnmowing and Garden Maintenance Services. Under the Veterans’ Support Act 2014 the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), on behalf of VA, has a requirement to approach the open market for the supply of Lawn Mowing and Garden Maintenance for New Zealand Veterans (Services). The key objective of this procurement activity is to procure a national lawn and garden maintenance services for veterans who require home assistance, and to enter into contractual arrangements with either one nationwide supplier or with a maximum of four suppliers to cover four regions below, the outcome of which will be determined during the procurement process. Under either option (nationwide supplier or regional suppliers), the supplier/s will be able to choose between a national or regional model/s where subcontracting arrangements may be appropriate. The regions are broken down into 4 regions, i.e.: Region A: Upper North Island: Northland and Auckland Region B: Central North Island: Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay Region C: Lower North Island: Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui and Wellington Region D: South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough and West Coast, Canterbury, Otago and Southland NOTE: For regional coverage Respondents must be able to provide the service to the whole region (e.g. Region A: Northland and Auckland) and not by separate individual regions within that region. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is seeking responses from the market to provide information and capability relating to the requirements detailed in this RFP. The proposed term of the Agreement will be for five years with one right of renewal of two year’s.
