Summary
Title: LL131 Cameron Island Rear Range Tower replacement, Cornwall, ON Background: Canadian Coast Guard requires replacement of an Aid to Navigation (AtoN) on the St. Lawrence River. The AtoN known as LL131 Cameron Island Lower Rear Range is located off-shore on a reinforced concrete foundation. Work Summary: Work under this Contract includes but is not limited to the provision of all labour, materials, and equipment required to: • Install new concrete foundation for new Aids to Navigation (AtoN) tower; • Install one [1] new 55’ steel AtoN tower including all appurtenances onto the new foundation; • Tower must be transported to site by Contractor. • Install Cougar Safety Rail on new tower as per Cougar Safety Rail Instruction Manual (Appendix I). • Safety rail must be transported to site by Contractor. • Install new day-mark on new tower. • New day-marks must be transported to site by Contractor. • Remove and dispose of existing foundation and tower; • Dispose of existing day-marks. The following work will be undertaken by others and is hereby excluded: Fabrication of the new tower; Fabrication of new day marks; Removal and installation of electrical and lighting systems. The site is inaccessible by road and utilization of a suitable floating plan must be anticipated. All work must be completed by November 1, 2025.
