Summary

Sligo County Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Contractor to develop, facilitate, and implement a two-year exchange programme between Men’s Sheds based in Sligo and Northern Ireland. These exchanges will promote social inclusion and good relations and build friendships and capacity in participants as per the Sligo PEACEPLUS Co-designed Local Community Peace Action Plan 2021-2027. The successful tenderer will have an understanding of co-design approach and experience of developmental community participative projects. This project develops cross-border and cross-community interactions among Men's Sheds members over a two-year period. It facilitates new connections, sharing of best practices, and encourages future collaborations on a cross-border basis. The project links Men's Shed's in Sligo and Northern Ireland to set up a regular calendar of exchange visits, bringing different Men's Sheds communities together. These exchanges will be coordinated by experienced facilitators to ensure effective collaboration, cross-community and diverse interaction, and sharing of best practices.
