W7-X has the task of demonstrating the suitability of the stellarator as a desirable alternative to the tokamak on the way to a fusion power plant. In the context of this project, the customer IPP requires the replacement and upgrade of the current calibration laser for the Coherence Imaging Spectroscopy (CIS) diagnostic.
